A couple of years ago i picked up a magazine at Jilly's house called Country Living. I hate to admit it, but I thought country went out with the mauve and blue geese. Jilly reminded me not to judge a magazine by it's title so I thumbed through it.
The truth is, I've had my own subscription for 3 years now and can't wait for it to drop into my mail box each month. It's full of quaint and charming decorating ideas as well as scrumptious recipes and lots of projects you can do yourself. I decided some day I must have a country cottage, complete with a lake and a collection of all my favorite issues of CL.
The minute I saw this tablescape, including the chairs with with angel wings, I found myself fantasizing about re-doing my entire kitchen.
This must be what heaven looks like.
In this months issue I also found a yummy recipe for
I LOVE a chunky cookie and I'm counting on Jilly to make them up really soon (wink, wink)!
Happy Holidays,
mia
Those cookies sound delish!
ReplyDeleteI used to work at a boutique called... "Country Interiors" and people who'd never visited its lovely European country goodness...thought it was full of powder blue, flat wooden geese with mauve neck bows...and the like. It wasn't!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a wonderful holiday!
