super spooky!

I recently decided I do love Halloween!
It just took me a little while to come around, due to the fact that I grew up with a mom who HATED it. Every year my six siblings and I either came up with our own costumes or we were the fat, home made, pumpkin. To make matters worse, the minute we got home from trick-or-treating, our mom seized all of our candy and that was the last we saw of our snickers bars and root beer barrels....BOOOO!

Since I've been married, my husband Todd has spent hours each year crafting Emmy worthy costumes for our son Brody; and every year our whole family works together to transform our front porch into a spooktacular haunted house for all of our neighborhood friends. It's so much fun!

I hate to admit it but now that I'm a mom, I'm glad we weren't allowed to consume pillowcases of candy until Easter. My mom was always making sure we were eating healthy, balanced meals and candy just isn't one of the food groups!

A few hostess gifts I created for a "pre" Halloween Party....It's just around the corner!

I love this skull under a tall cloche complete with head dress.
I found the candelabra at a garage sale for 10 bucks and it had to come home with me!

The other day while I was glittering the crow's tiara, my 15 year old son asked me why I was ruining Halloween. Boys.....

Every witch has a stunning pair of black heels and the perfect clutch....I'm no exception! I got these shoes at Good Will, then I painted and roughed them up a bit. The hand bag and brooches were a flea market find.

Our good friend Lettie, and her sister Janiece, made these awesome books of spells. I've never met anyone who loves Halloween more then Janiece.
These girls are so much fun not to mention ridiculously creative!
